Pharma-Vinci history

Pharma-Vinci A/S was founded in Copenhagen in 1941. The company gained a foothold within vitamins and minerals due to a general public wish at that time to enhance the public health. The request for our products was great and Pharma-Vinci A/S grew stronger in line with the increasing demand. In the 1960s, the company had its epochmaking breakthrough with the product Vigær® - a ”nutritional preparation”. Initially in Denmark and later also in the remaining parts of Europe. The marketing authorisation was later sold to a major German company, but Pharma-Vinci A/S kept the rights to manufacture the product which led to a favourable development throughout the 1970s. In 1979, the company moved to Frederiksværk where our new premises provided room for additional production equipment, for instance soap production, and allowed for powder filling of gelatine -capsules. Pharma-Vinci A/S became one of Northern Europe’s major experts within this field and thanks to the continued innovative energy and productive versatility with respect to tablets, capsules and liquid products, both our contract production and our own production have demonstrated rapid growth ever since.
